I'd want progress from needing a majority of beavers just to produce water and food, to needing less and less of them for food/water and more 'specialized' beavers to run automation producing factories. In the big update launched just this week, Timberborn's beavers got the power to make mechanical water pumps, big suckers designed to move large amounts of water vertically upwards. This includes setups such as two fences forming parallel lines. Some of these concepts are mechanical: automated weir crests, dam bottom outlets, water pumps, etc. I'd love to see further automation as an option, rather than just rely on more bodies. I want to avoid pipes, as it'd feel a bit too much like the current power shaft power system, yet ANOTHER 1x1 tile item to manage moving around.īasically, I'd like a lot more Power-based buildings that can automate a lot of things that currently need a grown beaver in it. Mechanical Water PUMP combines both principles - it pumps water and dumps it to a different water reservoir it's meant to allow moving water to higher elevation. And another, that uses Power to produce drinkable water. I don't know about piping system, but I'd like a building that outputs the water at least one level higher, and is Powered. Regardless, the second pump type and the associated pipes would prove useful for reducing the need for water hauling at the expense of needing power, and would also make transporting water between districts a lot more useful. The Irontooth could perhaps get ones for going more than one level up at a time so that they don't have to build 'water stairs' for cliffs, and could perhaps have a more powerful version of the second pump itself. This would include one pipe which requires power, but raises the water up one level so that it can pipe beyond that.
